Josh Steiner, of Manchester environmental charity Action for Sustainable Living (www.afsl.org.uk) is
researching establishing an eco-tourism social enterprise. To help him he's made an online survey
about social and environmental responsibility while travelling.
It's at www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=40403149949

Labour & O'Leary

What was Ian Pearson - junior minister on all the news, "Ryanair are not just the unacceptable face of capitalism, they are the irresponsible face of capitalism", him - what did he think he was doing? Apart from just setting Michael O'Leary off on another rant? OK, it's got to be worth doing that just for entertainment, I know, like standing outside a fence and teasing the guard-dogs. It doesn't make Ryanair look much better to me.

Options: careerism (thinks Labour are on the way out and wants to be remembered); doublethink (have junior ministers sound Eco so the senior ones don't have to bother to pretend); startling conversion of a New Labour apparatchik; or just a minister actually doing his job: Pearson is minister of state for climate change and environment.
