Adventure Travel? No Thanks, that's just the label.

Package Adventure Travellers don't really want too much of an adventure, or that’s what US company Austin-Lehman Adventures found in their focus groups.

"We know these folks aren't into roughing it, although they may think that's what they have to do when they hear the word 'adventure,'" said Founder Partner Dan Austin, Director of Operations.

No, no, what they’re really after is (to quote the released findings): Upscale (better than home) accommodation, good regional cuisine, multi-sport activities, trips in unblemished, natural, off-the-beaten-track environments, and good staff to help them unwind.

You might be better off staying in South Dakota for that, Bub. Can the earth really do with adventurers like this?
