Helping out....

Submitted by marky_mark on Tue, 2007-11-06 11:36.

So you travel a lot and yet would like to help save the environment? If so, then you are just like me and are facing a dilemma I faced a few months ago when I realised that for all my ideals, due to my work (travel) I was becoming one of the biggest poluters: always charging my laptop, mobile, I-Pod...driving all over the country....
So I decided to have a look a round and see what is available out there and I have found some amazing products that have really helped out!
For charging various smalled products take a look at this charger: http://www.thegogreencompany.com/ishop/322/green-shop-eco-friendly-products/Gifts/308779/green-eco-friendly-Solio-Solar-Charger.aspx?Guid=18c5733547a94ba5820da297451d08e6

I once read somewhere that you can keep a bottle of water cool in a hot climate by putting it in a wet sock. Has anyone actually tried this? Does it work?

Orangutans in Borneo

Hi. I'm planning to go to Borneo in October for two to three weeks. Where is the best place to see Orangutans? I have heard that the rehabilitation centres are not really all they claim to be - more tourist traps than conservation initiatives. Is this true? Can anyone whose been give me some advice?
